Gary continually strives to learn and evolve as an artist. As with many artists, he tries to draw from his artistic influences while presenting his own unique vision. Currently, he is working on landscape and figurative abstracts that combine layers of color with line. Included in the work are letters and numbers that may or may not relate to the piece, but at times interact with the figure.  Sometimes there is a sketching quality to the work that reflects his love of drawing. At times, the figures, the color fields, and lines mesh into one. Gary’s goal is always to engage the viewer, to compel them to look beyond the surface to interpret the work, not only as he intended, but also within the context of their own life experience.
